It is s a common spice used in Asian cuisine and is a seed hull from the Chinese Prickly Ash .
The husk or hull around the seeds may be used whole.
Szechuan Pepper has a unique aroma and flavor that is not hot or pungent. Instead, it has slight lemony overtones and creates a tingly numbness in the mouth
