In historical times, it is thought that people used fermented human urea to reduce indigo and woad for dyeing.
This is synthetic urea to be used as a dye assist for indigo, which makes the indigo water soluble.

Do not use in cooking utensils.
As with all mordants- use in well ventilated room, wear protective clothing and gloves, dispose of properly.
