Gunpowder Green Loose Tea, Camellia sinensis
The tea leaves used to make this tea are rolled into what looks like small pellets that resemble the gunpowder pellets used for ammunition in the 1600's. It was one of the first teas exported from China to Europe. The rolling was done to preserve the freshness on the long trip. The leaves unfurl when brewed.
