It is grown from India to Malaysia.
Cardamom is available in three forms, green pods, seeds taken from the green pods, and the ground seeds.
It has a strong, unique intensely aromatic, flowery fragrance and taste.
It is used in Indian cooking, and is also used a baking spice in Nordic countries.
Being one of the most expensive spices, in the Middle East it is a traditional flavoring in coffee and tea.
In India it is also included for medicinal purposes.
It is even used by Wrigley's ('Eclipse Breeze Exotic Mint') in which it states "with cardamom to neutralize the toughest breath odors".
It has also been known to be used for gin making.
It is one of the important spices used in making Chai Tea.
