Jacquard Acid Dye, Brilliant Blue 623, for Wool, Silk , Feathers, Nylon, and Other Protein Fibers
Jacquard Acid Dyes are bright, light fast and color fast.
These are the dyes we use on our Hand Dyed Merino Wool Roving, Silk Caps, and Sheep Tails.
Don't let the word " acid" scare you because this dye is set with household vinegar, which is acetic acid.
These dyes can be used on any protein based fiber or textile ( produced by animals) and nylon.
1/2 oz Jar is enough dye to dye 2 pounds of dry fiber.
The directions for dyeing in the washing machine (not recommended for wool because of felting) or on the stove top are on each bottle.
Use 1/4 cup of vinegar per pound of dry fiber in either washing machine or stove top.
Colors may appear different on other monitors or computers.
We also stock other colors for Jacquard Acid Dyes, please check other listings in our store for those colors that are available.
If sent to a Pennsylvania address, Pennsylvania State Sales Tax applies.
