Rosewood Locker Hook, Knooking Needle
Locker hooking is a unique craft that involves threading a hooked needle, using the hook to pull loops of thread , yarn, wool roving, or fabric up through a mesh backing.
The yarn in the eye of the hook needle is then pulled through under the loops on the underside of the mesh backing.
This locks the loops in place on the backing, hence the name, Locker Hooking.
Locker Hooking is normally a process used to make rugs, but other things can also be made.
These hooks/needles can be used for other purposes.
