Natural Dyed Wool Yarn, Onion Skins, Alum

This yarn was produced when white yarn was dyed with red onion skins with dyers alum as a mordant. We were surprised to find that we got a peachy yellow instead of the strong bright yellows we normally produce with yellow onion skins.
As with all hand made items the color may vary though out the skein adding to its character.
